Colton grew up in Great Bend, Kansas and got his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas. He obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology where he studied biocatalytic synthesis of β-lactam antibiotics. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, traveling, and watching sports.
